This being a lovely Friday morning, I just woke up at 9 A.M. You know if you are in campo it’s not a big deal waking up even at 11. Anyway I feel I should share with you about my first teacher crush in high school. Just because I woke up in a romantic mood.
High school! We all know those days when you were in a boy school or maybe in a girl school where you crave to see at least one beautiful girl or boy. That was me in form one. Joining school and all of a sudden you start admiring really beautiful teachers.
“Good morning class,” she entered the class and greeted us. Wow! What a beautiful lady. A smile just spread on my face. I have a reason to believe it lit up the room. Probably because she smiled back at me, atleast that’s what I think I saw. She was our English teacher. She had a sculpted figure which was twine-thin. Her waist was tapered and she had a burnished complexion. A pair of arched eyebrows looked down on sweeping eyelashes. Her delicate ears framed a button nose. A set of dazzling, angel-white teeth gleamed as she blew gently on her carmine-red fingernails. It was a pleasure to see her flowing, moon shadow-black hair flowed over her shoulders.
Was it me who saw that or it was everyone? “Yes? Young man,” she said addressing me as if she was expecting something from me. My deskie whispered, “we msee si ujiintroduce” (introduced yourself man). That’s when it dawned on me. “How long had I been staring at her?” “What is she thinking about that act?” Those were some of the questions that rang too loudly in my mind. I could here some guys laugh at the back.
I stood up as dumb-founded as I was and managed to fumble, “My name is Brian.”
“And where do you come from Brian?”
I sensed I should have said where I came from like the rest but her beauty had taken away that part on how we were to introduce ourselves.
“I come from Nakuru, thanks for asking,” I said putting a smile at the end of that statement. More laughs came from the back once again but I saw how hard she tried hiding a smile that really wanted to gracefully spread on her face.
My statement must have been humorous because she tried to look at me without being obvious. Her lip twitched. I knew my words had magic in them. She moved on getting to know her new students. She was on teaching practice. Oh yeah! A really beautiful university student.
That was day one first lesson…
